Brooklyn Bridgeby jwillertonComment by jwillerton: jpeters - I agree. If you take a look at my other close-up picture of the Brooklyn Bridge, I masked the buildings to help prevent them from blowing out. I will give this image another try. thanks for the tip. |

Gapstow's Bridge in Summerby jwillertonComment by jpeters: Good perspective. The blown out rocks are a problem. Once again, I don't know if you shot in RAW, but double processing a RAW (once for highlight exposure, and once for shadow exposure) can save your butt when you are shooting in those naturally high contrast situations. If you don't like to shoot RAW you can just manually shoot two different JPEGs. Oh, and the ducks are a nice touch. Good eye. |

IMG_2360.jpgby jwillertonComment by jpeters: Wunderbar! Very nice B&W candid. I would probably go with a slightly tighter crop, maybe. I just can't see the detail in the person that I would like. I like the panoramic crop, good choice. |

Niagara Fallsby jwillertonComment by jpeters: Good choice on the wide angle. I like the unusual choice of portrait (as opposed to landscape) orientation for something like this. The fair-weather cumulus clouds are gorgeous, but it's unfortunate that the falls are cut off on the right. I do like the foreground. It adds depth and uniqueness to your photo. It's not so generic. |

New York Cityby jwillertonComment by jpeters: Perfect timing here! There is just enough ambient light to illuminate the buildings without blowing out the window lights. It might just be my perception, but it looks like the horizon is slight tilted to the right. Stunning shot though. |

Brooklyn Bridgeby jwillertonComment by jpeters: Great angle. You have a few blown out highlights that are a little distracting. If you shot in RAW you could use exposure compensation to bring those down then just replace the highlights on the version you have shown here. (Two RAWS make a right.) I like the coloring and the sky and I like that you have a level horizon and not a straight bridge with a crooked horizon! |

Libertyby jwillertonComment by jpeters: Fantastic shot here. This is a beautiful silhouette of Lady Liberty. Personally, I would crop out the water in an effort to get the statue out of the exact center of the image. |
