melting pointby pamelasueComment by BeckyT: Interesting idea. The photo is just a bit too soft. I love the red color and the fact that you caught a crayon drip in action. I think maybe with a different color background it would pop more (e.g. yellow). IMHO |

weatheredby pamelasueComment by PHOTOKID: I liked this image in the challenge, but thought the barn itself was a bit overprocessed, mostly because of the look on the roof. The roof IMO, is a bit flat and has a lack of texture that the shingles on it should give like on some parts of it.
I did how ever understand that it was kind of what you were going for in the weathered look, and I liked alot of the other post processing techniques overall and I gave you a 6.

la verde puertaby pamelasueComment by PHOTOKID: This shot has really good symmetry to it,I like the colors and tonal range in the door. My only suggestion would be to see what it would look like with a slightly saturated red channel.

Fluffy Clouds 2by pamelasueComment by PHOTOKID: I love mountain shots, as you are trying to highlight the sky, I think the lighting for them is good. Excellent color in the sky and an overall good composition with the diagonals created by the mountains.

raindropsby pamelasueComment by UNTITLED: Those little droplets really catch your eye against those deep dark tones of the leaves and background. Very nice photograph! |

Public Transportationby pamelasueComment by eamurdock: I love the colors that you get here - and how they match my idea of what colors in less developed countries often look like - ostensibly bright, but muted; the whites milky, the green mossy, the red slightly pinkish-orange.
The man has both the sad/detached public transportation look, and an intense connection with the viewer; like you caught him just as he noticed you.
My only issue is that he's dead center in the frame, but I don't know how much more picture you have to work with to change the crop; I certainly wouldn't cut anything from what you have here.
Really great picture. If I were voting in say a photojournalism challenge you'd get a 9 or 10 from me... |
