Industrialized Nationby jentComment by KarenNfld: Good composition, the curve of the tracks leads you into the photo. A lot of grain in the sky, was it added in processing? Not sure I like it. |

Industrialized Nationby jentComment by CNovack: I like the leading lines of the train track the lead off to the vanishing point to the center of the photo. A picture showing the industrial elements of civilization. It is also blanketed in snow which in many cases makes the scenes look beautiful. One thing that strikes me is the stark loneliness - nothing is stirring (with the exception of the smoke stack), nothing is moving. The train is absent, there are no people. It is an lonely place. Funny enough I just did a class presentation of Edward Hopper's painting titled Approaching the City - the loneliness of the scene is comparable to his. One big problem with the visual is there is a ton of visible noise - red and faint blue noise is highly evident in the sky but I can see it in the snowy ground as well. Running this through a good noise reduction program would improve the imagery. |

Industrialized Nationby jentComment by bvy: I love the muted colors and the grain in the sky. Feels like an old film print. Beyond that, you've captured the cold, quietude of an industrial setting in wintertime. |

Night before the big gameby jentComment by littlegett: I like the concept but I want something more. For me here, it feels like a snapshot. No real depth of imagery or story. Being from CO I have a fond place in my heart for the Buggers. But this, I feel does no justice. |
