Lorikeetby ArtifactsComment by noraneko: Very rich colors - maybe a little too much saturation, but the focus is very sharp in the facial area. 7. |

Lorikeetby ArtifactsComment by SDW: Nice DOF and lighting. But the processing took a lot out of the detail of the birds feathers. Looks like the saturation has been pumped up and has blown out key features. |

Lorikeetby ArtifactsComment by yanko: Great focus and clarity. I like the saturated look but the red chest features are a bit too extreme for me. |

Lorikeetby ArtifactsComment by escapetooz: Gorgeous colors but seem bumped a little too much on the red feathers. Other than that beautiful vibrant photo! |

Four Leaf Cloverby ArtifactsComment by Melethia: Positives - I quite like the boldness of it. This probably is also a negative in DPC-land, where harsh light/shadows are not our friends in many instances. Heck with it - I like sunlight and lots of it.
Technicals - See above about sunlight, promptly ignore as you see fit. Good detail in the leaves themselves. Noticeable lack of "jaggies" despite the very sharp edges of the leaves, too.
Meets challenge - Yep. Though somehow I'm betting the anal retentive among us felt the subject took up too much of the frame.
Distractions/point removers: The one partial leaf at the top intrudes without contributing, in my opinion. And the subject matter itself is probably not "wow" enough to garner higher votes. |
