On the streets of Parisby slickshooterComment by Melethia: A simple and casual street portrait - carries a bit of motion - walking toward you. I find myself drawn to the young lady behind him and the buttons on her coat. Not a bad thing - just where my eyes go. I like the nearly triangular composition formed by the people, too. |

can you spare.......by slickshooterComment by fitz3000: I really dislike the photos where photographers literally show off with the sadness and poverty of the homeless or less rich people and playing with the emotions with the ones who sit in a warm home with full stomachs in front of the computer. Everyone would say "look at the poor old lady", and then they hit 5 and highter points, but I'm not buying it. If it was a "poverty" contest like the previous I would logicaly understand, but here there are many diferent aspects that can be taken with a camera. I only hope that you gave her some money after taking this shot |

On the streets of Parisby slickshooterComment by booboo_goon: I love the character and expression you captured here. This has alot of potential but you could've worked with a 3rd of rules approach to get a better, stronger composition, maybe just by having done a tighter crop to achieve that would have been enough. My other idea to improve this would have been to convert it to black and white... as I can see a red circle from the traffic lights at the background which is quiet distracting and that could correct that and make your amazin candid shot the main focus of attention! Th way I vote tho is different from the rest here, I love the expression you captured and am givin u an 8! |

cardby slickshooterComment by Lydia: Too washed out, I think, to score really highly. I wish the eye were a bit more in focus. Message edited by author 2008-09-09 09:16:12. |
