Great idea and the colors are nice, but the overall composition needs some work, the picture shouldn't be cut in half by the horizon.

Perfect angle to get the sun at the end of the boardwalk. Lovely muted colors, too, making the light worth heading for.

This photograph accomplishes something very difficult. The viewer is pulled to the focus in two stages, first up the ramp to see small clouds newly lit, then left off to the rising sun. Both are accomplished with line. The break in planks above the leftmost vertical post sends the wandering viewer back to the sun.
