This seems to be more a shot of a cheetah than a shot of a fence, and the over-bright whites undermine even this aspect of the photo.

I like the idea of using the photo sideways (I like photographs that help me to see common things in new ways), but I was distracted by the patterns within the stairs and the railing (the wood, the dirt, the wear), so that -- to my eyes -- the pattern itself was more lost than emphasized.
