the doorby jprezantComment by JoAnna3853: To me it looks more like the feet of this person is about to catch on fire rather than the smoke coming from the other side. But the harsh lighting does kind of give it a weird, paranrmal look, I think there needs to be more to this photo. |

the doorby jprezantComment by JMart: The textures are great, the smoke is just right, and the lighting works well. The only thing that didn't strike me right on my first impression is that the feet seem too close to the door. It feels to me like the toes must be almost under it which takes away from the feeling (that I imagine you intended) that this ominous door is about to be opened. Still, the overall effect works well and it's very otherworldly indeed.
---After looking at it for a while, it strikes me that my initial bias was to see the door as pulling open rather than pushing open. Strange psychology on my part, but I'll leave that comment in for your entertainment :P |

the doorby jprezantComment by rarmermann: Nice photo. Has good color to it. Kind of reminds me of many horror films/scifi films. Mostly of E.T. |

the doorby jprezantComment by wagsfx: Fun. I'm sure you're getting your fair share of foot odor comments, but I like it. |

Who lives in a pineapple...by jprezantComment by jprezant: The pineapple was hollowed out. He had plenty of room to move around. I carved out a door in the back, and that is how i put him in. Not sure how this is cruel. Message edited by author 2008-03-17 02:40:32. |

Who lives in a pineapple...by jprezantComment by Alicia: In the off chance that this little creature crawled into the pineapple on its own, please disregard what I'm about to say.
This looks like animal cruelty to me, and I don't condone it for any purpose, including taking a 'cute' photo. I'm not going to vote on this image, since in my opinion, it's in bad taste.
Edit to add - thanks for the explanation. Note that I started out my comment with a disclaimer. It wasn't my aim to upset or insult you. However, I'd rather risk someone's disagreement with me if I can speak on behalf of an animal. It seems, in this case it wasn't necessary. Message edited by author 2008-03-17 19:56:30. |
