Beautiful, photogenic cat. WHY NO COLOR? Such a waste. You ruined it! You wasted the beauty of this cat. I'm also not thrilled with the background. In color the cat would have stood out from the background. Now, he looks like part of the background. Ohhhhh. This hurts, personally.

A very clever idea. Just a few simple tones to clearly state your message. The combination of fork, ice cube and water drop are brilliant. Those three things alone with a plain simple background would yield even a more powerful image for me ( just a wee suggestion ). The highlights in the glass are strong but necesarry for your choice of lighting. The metal feel of the fork is very good. Just the right balance of shadow and highlights. A touch more space around the fork tines would be another smallish request. Otherwise a very good shot.

I'm really surprised there weren't more of these. The contrasts alone in the ice cube are worth the shot. I really like your composition, water dripping off the fork and all. Well executed and nice photo.

It's not square, and the background lights/glass overpowers the main subject a little.
