Hmmm, if the home in the reflection is the subject, then it's yellow and not B&W...that aspect, plus the color in the plant and red wall push it out of the challenge for me.

Great job! I loved the tonal aspect to this whole photograph, with the greys being predominant in the foreground and background, allowing the bird to blend in and stand out at the same time. The clarity in the bird is awesome. I'm not giving this as high as I'd like to because this could equally be on a city street as a beach, so in my opinion, it does not clearly meet the challenge, although I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. I don't think that meeting the theme of the challenge should be left to guesswork, there should be some element in the photo to at least hint of the theme, and this one doesn't. Other than that, I'm giving it a 7 because it is still a nice shot!

I am now looking at your shot and wonder how you come up with your comments. I think that there's going to be an avalanche of pm's coming your way from some disgruntled dpcers who may not agree with your comments or your 'hidden during voting' 'great shot' comments...

I appreciate that you gave me the benefit of the doubt and a 7 in any case
