Sleeping Inby levyj413Comment by DjFenzl: what I like:
fun idea well executed. I think the card really makes the picture.
What I don't like:
too dark in the background. While I like the card I think it takes up too much of the picture. The person sleeping doesn't seem like they're in a very natural position which makes it seem a bit staged. |

Absent an Earthquake ...by levyj413Comment by BeeCee: Okay, I imagine there's technical terms, but I don't know them!
I love the diagonal division, with bright-on-dark in one, grey-on-grey in the other. And the lines within lines within lines, almost like those puzzles where you count the number of triangles.
Very crisp :)
(And anyone living in our area would understand about the earthquake thing ;) ) |

Branch Refractionby levyj413Comment by amandalore: this is a really cool shot, I'm wishing there were a more solid background and the focus seems to be on the branch, I'd also crop this one in just a tad, probably almost right to the edge of the first window to the right, not the drop, but that's about it, nice work |

Blue Moonby levyj413Comment by amandalore: ooo, this looks like a nice pic to work with.. I love the color of your sky and the clouds, awesome... to really bring this out, I would heal/clone out the wires on the left and then I'd crop out the house, so you just have the tree and the moon, nice shot! |

Big Dipperby levyj413Comment by amandalore: I wish the tree branches were in the corner of the pic and you also have a blown area toward the edge of the photo, hmm, if the right side is not crucial you might try cropping this into a portrait where the branch is in the corner, also what might be really cool if you have the chance to do this shot again is to get some colored celophane, or they sell little flashlights with colored lens filters, and to paint the branches with colors, you could probably do this in photoshop too.. I really like the black of this photo and your stars came out nice, also makes me wonder if there is a filter in PS to do the star effect on the stars, that would be really cool too, I love the wide open feeling of this pic, nice work getting the exposure just right |

Red Berriesby levyj413Comment by amandalore: I like this pic, something about the composition makes it interesting and I also like how your background is perfectly out of focus. What I would do is bump the contrast and saturation levels and then maybe use layer masks to sharpen your foreground berries a bit more, just the three, not the one to the right, overall, nice shot, like I said, I really like your portrait orientation with the three berries going down the third line on the right |

Rain, rain, go away ...by levyj413Comment by Philos: Critique club Comment,
Hi from the Critique Club.
I like the title, I also have an image in my portfolio with the same name, but a different subject ;)
I really like the emotion in this picture, however I would have liked to see a bit more of her face.
Also the umbrella (I donĂ¢€™t know the right word) in the top of the picture is a bit distracting.
I personally would have tried to up the saturation and contrast slightly, and maybe sharpen it a bit more, just to give it a little bit more impact.
All in all a nice picture,
Keep up the good work.
Peter
