Just Humansby MonaComment by kiwiness: Interesting shot. No cars, no dogs and no horses. Are walkers allowed down there? Nice capture, I like it. |

Cloud-Scapeby MonaComment by justine: CC:
Fits The Challenge:Yes, IMHO
Composition-Content:Just beautiful. The silhouettes of the trees against the sky/clouds is very nicely arranged. Over all focus is nice yet not perfect. I could do without the black frame, but it's not obtrusive to the shot. I would of liked a different crop, maybe a 480x640 would of done this more justice.
Background-Haunting cloud formation, soft lovely color.
Digital Processing-Good since I don't see it. I do think the area of sun is a over exposed but it's small and not _that_ fried in this case. I did note the shutter speed and the ISO.
My Opinion-This shot is appealing to me because of the change in light. It's only after I've looked at too long and with a critical eye that I find the tree on the right a distraction. In fact I start to resent it for interrupting my view of the clouds. The clouds are this shot, the main focal point. I see where it was called a 'cloudscape'. Yes, I'd agree. I do however think the tree silhouette is stunning for the fact that it is a silhouette and we don't see a great deal of detail. Room for improvement ......sure. Just too minor to mention.
Thanks for the chance to review your landscape shot. Message edited by author 2003-01-21 14:42:19. |

Just Humansby MonaComment by dodobird: Cool signs! I liked how crisp the focus was onthe forward signs, but the no horse sign, I would have liked to se a bit more in focus, for the rest I like the blur. My attention is drawn to the other sign for it also tells part of the story here, that is why I would like to see it a bit crisper. The colors are great, just wished the sky would have cooperated that day and given a deeper blue. 8. |
