Brilliant capture. The tones are well kept, though I would like to see a version in less bright light. The shadows are excellent and the composition is wonderful. The street sign stops the boredom on the left hand side whilst the leading lines nudge you over to the left. Very well balanced.

Hello from the critque club,

A great story-telling shot here. It works very well with the lyric that you chose to depict.

I like the detail and sharpness of the whole shot. The details of both the man and the stone wall behind him really add character to the image. I like the vertical composition and the negative space. It adds weight to the image and gives him a real sense of place. LIke he is smaller in the shadow of the buildings around him. I do like that you included the sign in the upper corner, too. It closes off that corner and keeps my eye from leaving the frame.

I agree with the commenters that it is a pity that his feet are cut off. That happens sometimes and can't be avoided, but it is definitely something to look out for when framing your shot. His face is also a little shadowed, which is I am sure the way the ambient light was falling. It would be nice to find an angle or another way to get more light on his face.

Well done, here. I like this one very much.

Cheers,
Liza

I like the inclusion of the sign even if you had to cut some of him out. The shadows add a nice touch.

Using a new formula....
0-2 Meets the Challenge = 2
0-2 Technical Merit = 2
0-4 Interest/Creativity = 2
0-2 The "wow factor" = 0
Final score: 6
