Patterns in water and shadowby mistComment by RUEDISCHMUTZ: You choose to use the shadow as a pattern. I think they are disturbing rather than enhancing. A different time of the day might give you better result. Don`t be lazy to go back an other time. I am not sure if you have captured the best possible angle here 4 |

Depressed? Me? Nahhhh :)by mistComment by skewsme: Adorable and so expressive (or rather, inexpressive in a deliberate-seeming way) - perfect title! 7 from me. Missy looks a lot like our new kitty, Knuckles. I have a hunch she would look really nifty against a dark background given all those nice colors in her fur. Looking forward to seeing her again :) |

Another brown outtakeby mistComment by JuliBoc: This looks like you put a gausian blur on the whole thing and then masked a little in the lower right corner. I'm not partial to blurry photos unless the blur is in the background to clarify the subject. I think I would like this shot if I could see the whole thing.
Having said that, I think this might work if the foreground was blurred and got clearer as you go toward the back. The thing (whatever it is) is forming a line that leads from the lower right to the upper left power point (where the top and left thirds intersect), and when the eye gets there, there is nothing to see.
Just thinking aloud; hope you don't mind. |

Brown Outtakeby mistComment by JuliBoc: What's a flake? It looks sugary. I think you are right that it wouldn't have scored very well -- the focus isn't good enough for most voters. Also I think they like to be able to identify the object. It's a nice brown and the lighting is good. |
