Patchby NikonJebComment by craigester: I don't think the lighting was too appropriate to the subject as he melts into the background. |

Patchby NikonJebComment by macrothing: 4 - Bigger (640) and sharper/less blur and the grain/something minimized bringing in more clarity, make this better in my opinion. Good potential, lighting looks nice. A little more space at the top too. |

Patchby NikonJebComment by BlackNewfs: Patch has lovely markings! The composition of your image is nice....too bad it is out of focus though. |

Patchby NikonJebComment by lynnesite: Is this a tortie? Torties are so hard to shoot, extra point for degree of difficulty. |

Patchby NikonJebComment by timfythetoo: Nice looking cat. Unfortunately the softness in focus and the muted colors arent working for me. Takes away from the deep color that I am sure this kitty is. The lighting contrast between the eyes feels a bit uch as well but maybe just because of the color over the one and lack of color on the other. |

Patchby NikonJebComment by bassbone: the focus is very soft on this one but the lighting is good - a little post processing like sharpening would really have helped this nice image. |

The Last Roseby NikonJebComment by levyj413: Sorry, this is my first "did not meet challenge" vote. They don't have to be travel advertsiements, but in the title you could've told us what the point of the card would be. Sympathy after a death? Reminder of spring? Faded but still going? What?
Looking at it purely as a photo, it's out of focus and quite low in contrast. Maybe rotating it so the dead head is in the upper left and the bloom is more centered might increase the visual interest. |
