Radial Symmentryby leko2kComment by kiwiness: Critique Club
Hi Mark. A very symmetrical and well thought out image, good idea. The decision to go black and white worked. The DOF is deep, everything fully in focus, the detail is fantastic. What strikes me first when I look at this photo is the amazing contrast. The blacks and whites are so subtle!
The composition is good, the angle works here. I think a straight on shot wouldn't have had as much impact. The only thing I would have changed is the crop. Everything in this photo is so symmetrical except for the crop which you can see on the outer ring of the dartboard. I would have cropped it more evenly.

Lean GREEN cricket-eatin' machineby leko2kComment by dadas115: I love anoles and I have taken many a picture of them. I think this photo meets the challenge well and overall is a well done picture. You have good composition and use of depth of field here but the picture doesn̢۪t look as sharp as it possibly could be. I would suggest using a fill-flash for pictures like this. It will really bring out the scales and make it look much sharper overall. I know that these guys aren̢۪t usually all that cooperative but it would also be nice to see more of his eye. I think this was a very good effort and I would suggest working on it some more using a fill flash and a shutter speed of at least 1/125 sec. I doubt you could use a tripod for this type of picture and the fast shutter speed makes a world of difference. I gave this picture a 6.
