The image would have been great without the windmill but its so huge that you couldn't get away from it and get both the gulls and the sunset/rise. I would have preferred it wasn't in the center of the coposition. The light and focus on the gulls is fantastic. Good stop action shot. However, they are the subject. The sky is just a backdrop.

There is inconsistancy to me that the wind turbine would be blurred but the birds in flight are sharp.

Great composition - The thing that bothers me is that the birds are really sharp in focus and don't see to be moving, but the windmill appears to be rotating really fast. Therefore it really looks like two images rather than one. Getting the birds with the sky and not having the windmill in the background would have raised my scoring considerably
