Consumedby casualguyComment by casualguy: Thanks for all the super comments on my entry! I think it did pretty well for not being what you would call a traditional portrait. |

Consumedby casualguyComment by Zoomdak: Cool shot. Different. I like how you've included the windows and the completed shadow. |

Consumedby casualguyComment by Jinjit: Any chance you'd switch places with me?
I like the clean feel of this photo. The large spaces, the white walls inside, the white sands outside, the feeling of the sun on my face.
The pose is also a strong point of the image IMO.
I would only change one very little thing here in post-processing.
I would make the shadows from teh windos, the same color as the shadows from the banch.
The two different shades of gray are not really necessary and I find them a bit distracting.
Very nice portrait!

Consumedby casualguyComment by Azrifel: Interesting how the shadows line up with the structure that creates the shadows. This feels very scandinavian, all that space, the big windows... The positioning is a bit confusing, but with the shadows it works well. |

Consumedby casualguyComment by Skip: i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image to try to figure out what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.
this is really cool, more of a captured moment than a portrait. i like it. great imagery, wonderful use of light. the main thing i'm learning here is to be more mindful of places that can serve as backdrops. thanks for sharing, and good luck! |
