Spring comes too lateby kreshkinComment by kreshkin: You know, I did take some other shots in which the car was less obscured, but I didn't think they conveyed "harshness" as well. Also, by this date the snow was receding a bit, and I wanted to maximize the buried look. And the sky was lovely bright cheerful blue that day, too, not harsh at all, except perhaps in an intellectual "nature doesn't care about your problems, silly mortal" kind of way. :^)

Peeps in flightby kreshkinComment by kreshkin: I threaded the sugary beasts onto white thread, then attached several strings of them to a stick (sort of like for controlling marionettes). I think they might look more, er, natural if the threads were tied together and anchored to the ground, rather than being on parallel vertical strings.
Of course I had to clone out the threads, which were surprisingly visible (I always thought white thread was supposed to be great for making things look like they were floating in the air).
I staged a couple other shots too.

Peeps in flightby kreshkinComment by colorcarnival: This is a cute idea. It's like watching a bunch of sparrows hanging around. You were so lucky to find flying peeps! The Easter Bunny was good to you :) |

Peeps in flightby kreshkinComment by codys: Nice work. I think I would rather have seen the peeps in the air to all be oriented the same way, like geese flying. |

Peeps in flightby kreshkinComment by liberty: The composition is strong and would have been seen a bit better if the background was different, the peeps almost blend in, great oob idea, nice work, 6 |

Peeps in flightby kreshkinComment by thomaspeople: Very clever. I'm waiting to see your comments. Did you toss them in the air and snap, or are their tiny wings just too fast to capture? |

Peeps in flightby kreshkinComment by MaryO: Gee, they look a little awkward in flight. Could have something to do with the lack of wings ;-) |

Spring comes too lateby kreshkinComment by kleski: not too fond of the B&W here, the saplings are overpowering but the image is clear and focused, perhaps a different angle with less of the saplings would have made me like this shot better |
