Love the high key effect on the child and the sense of joy in her expression. The background is a little cluttered though kept at bay slightly by the fence and the choice of dof. Good sense of motion too.

Nice capture - But the highlights are a little blown out. Not enough to distract though.

Great capture! So I'm done looking through your portfolio. It's been a long time since I looked though an entire portfolio! Many of the "great" portfolios on this site have really wonderful shot, but sometime I feel like a kid in a glassware store (look but don't touch - it's all set up so pretty). You portfolio is a wonderful example of why I got into photography - FUN! Keep up the great work and don't EVER let anyone try to change your style. I LOVE your work! :)

I can't understand why this one has no comments yet! So very cool and an expression on the boys face that would bring tears to your eyes!! My Son is stationed in Hawaii on the USS Buffalo (Sub), but I haven't had a chance to go there. The most beautiful place I've been is my home state - Rhode Island (and I'm living in Tennessee - go figure!). The water behind the child is captivating! Great work here!

You've been on DPC about 5 months - wish I ran into your profile sooner - you would have been a favorite at sign-up! :) I love this! So clear and colorful. The dark back ground make it pop out at you. I love this shot - and I hate bugs!! :)

I came to your profile when I read your forum request to fix the baby's photo (a noble request indeed - sorry I have VERY little Photoshop knowledge). Anyway, you got ripped-off on this one. Of course since "advanced editing" was the rules, people wanted to see the dramatic. And a photo with a doorway behind you - Lions and tigers and bears - O' my!! We're all going to die! I like photos that look like I took a photo during life!! (There are doorways in life, correct?) The expression on your face is GREAT. It says, "I'm not sure if I want to do this - well maybe - then again..." You didn't use Photoshop to make your eyes "pop" out of the photo - good for you. They're beautiful the way they are. Cropping so the top and bottom is missing REALLY works well here and the door way gives the photo a feeling of "home". You did an excellent job on this and I love straight from the camera work. I can't wait to see what you'll have instore for us next!! Take care of yourself. :) Ray
