Intriguing interpretation.

Image wise - looks like the candle light was your only source of illumination and I think it has let you down, the foliage is in complete shadow and that IMO detracts from the idea you are trying to put across

What am I missing? I've looked at this for several minutes but the left side is so dark I'm not sure what I'm looking at.

Ammendmum: I readjusted my monitor's brightness and contrast settings and WOW! What a difference! I can now see the picture much more clearly and you are right, this is a REAL NIGHTMARE! Your score just went WAY UP!

Another addition, after going back through these again, I again bumped your score, this is really a frightening thought, having a small baby myself, 16 months old, the thought of losing him in the middle of the night, you captures that perfectly. It's not a perfect picture but darn close in my book.

Yup - that's pretty grim. It's not a technical masterpiece but it does kind of help this scenario. Very worrying - and sad that it really happens sometimes. Certainly spooks me - and I'm a father!

The soft focus on this is a bit distracting and I think it would have worked much better in color, I would love to see the color version, are the trees turning yet? The composition is good, though the large tree on the right is slightly distracting.
