	April Showers, bring May Flowers... by ericwoodford Comment by margem: for some reason it really bothers that the baby's head was cropped and maybe if the shot were vertical.or just a bit more pulled back. You caught a nice feeling of .the " does love me or not " thing and who wouldn't love the little cutey

Good pic, perhaps if the child hadn't been so centered, rather set more to the left or right this would have more impact. Also a little sharpening in the postprocessing would have gotten rid of the soft feeling of this image.

In my personal opinion though, it doesn't totally meet the challenge 100%, although I do get the concept "effects of weather" you are trying to convey. I think if the picture had less focus ont he child and more on the flowers, it wouldn't have been such a stretch.

	April Showers, bring May Flowers... by ericwoodford Comment by UberFish: Erm,they cant be May flowers. Try turning the camera through 90 degrees and locating the brat more to the left of frame (as the gaze here is from left to right). Then you wont be cropping the head and arm so much. You also need to fill in that big black space over the shoulder there. Not a big score Im afraid, as the connection is a bit tenous, but dont despair, my entry this week is suffering a similar fate.
