Good photo of the girl and her dog, to improve it in my opinion, change the depth of field and blue the back ground some so that the buildings and structures are less visible and less destracting.

Not quite to the same level of expertise as some of the other avian images in this challenge, the image is technically flawed in a couple of ways being over sharpened in addition to a difficult lighting situation leading to rather flat and dull coloring. The blank sky also enhances these two problems and makes the over sharpening stand out (as evidenced by the slight halo surrounding the bird). A good effort that might have been improved with a little more patience waiting for a different angle and lighting.
