A very postive piece recreating an earlier time when walking the rails was a common method of traveling to other places. The slight color cast is a plus and the over all feel is of an antique linotype. A very unique and different look at the challenge subject. Both a technical and artistic success. A certain top ten image and potential ribbon winner. Well done.

I think this would work really well in color, actually. I like the composition but I think the color would make it pop more. The sky looks like it would be perfect, a nice mix of blue and white.

Interesting shot. Too bad the ends aren't sharp. The flat ends being out of focus are a tad distracting.

The image meets the subject matter dead on. A sound demonstration of the creative process in meeting the challenge in a very unusual way. A couple of minor detail problems as the image appears to be over sharpened, but that may be a lighting artifact. The DOF could have been used more effectively. A good solid entry into the challenge.
