I'm not sure, but I think my eye wants the focus on the pencil tips and it's disconcerting having to find the focus...which is on the wood. Nice composition however.

I like this shot. Something to think about though. If you moved yourself back and to the right a little to get more of a straight on shot and have the door in the bottom right of the photo and include the whole window in the shot it may have made a better image. Now of course I wasn't there and I don't know if there was some other issue as to why you couldn't have done that but its something to think about anyway.

A terrific conversion richly detailed making for a impressive presentation. The various forms and shapes are are intriguing and the combination of linear door and benches against the more figured wall makes a good combination. Demonstrates the variable nature of texture. A good solid effort.

your shot does show texture...but...IMO (which doesn't count for anything) you could have gotten the point across with less building...I guess the centering of the door is what is bothering me...to centered...if you cut off almost 1/2 the door and kept the window to the right it would have more appeal to me...

The point of view is too far from the surface of anything to give a texture look or feel. A close up of the wood or the stone or the cement would give a better feeling or look of texture.
