Tiny Bubble(s)by colorcarnivalComment by tate: This is the type of image that could be mediocre or excellent - the rich contrast and saturated colors without distractions make this beautiful and simple. 8 |

Eggscapeby colorcarnivalComment by JuliBoc: Very nice image. I like the composition, light, and color. Curious to know how you balanced the egg. |

Relatively Shortby colorcarnivalComment by krnodil: I thought this was a very interesting idea - if I'm reading it right you set up a comparison (by hair) of a son to his father - a very imaginative take. I agree with your own assessment that it might have been more effective if their eyes were level with each other. |

Dead Treeby colorcarnivalComment by levyj413: Heh. Add a sign in the empty space, hanging from the upper branches, that reads "Welcome to Hell. The registration desk is to the left. Have a nice day!" |

Eby colorcarnivalComment by levyj413: I'm floored at the score. I voted this an 8. The clarity of his eyes, the spot-on focus, and his expression are all wonderful. Yes, if I lean waaaayyyy in, I can see of the artifacts. But I don't vote with my nose 1/2" from the screen. :)
As for those artifacts, try copying the original into a new layer, sharpening that layer, and then creating a layer mask and painting black in the layer mask of the sharpened layer, to remove it and let the original show through. That essentially lets you do spot sharpening that's reversible. |
