The Anchorby velzymonkeyComment by ralfw: Awesome! (former climber here) I hope the voters get it, but regardless - you have my vote! Well done! The DOF gets the viewer focused on the subject here! |

The Anchorby velzymonkeyComment by Rob O: I like the concept behind this one but wish the composition/perspective were such that the rock's edge weren't in the same focal plane as the carabiner(s). The rope draws a nice line toward the belayer but the rock edge keeps drawing my eye away. Perhaps repositioning and looking straight down the rope to the belayer, with focus on the carabiners still, would help. |

The Anchorby velzymonkeyComment by Warthog: Really like the concept. I feel like this picture would have been even stronger if taken from a bit to the left, looking closer to straight down the line. This is because I think the amount of empty green space at the top distracts from the focus of the shot, and a tighter angle down the line would have allowed for a closer crop. |

The Anchorby velzymonkeyComment by jaysonmc: I like the idea and intenet here. I think you have a good making for a spectacular photo. The line is good. Would be interesting to see if the climber was halway up with hime being in focus... Just a thought. Still colors and nice and it is a well thoughtout idea. |
