Pop Culture Toss Upby J-MeComment by Ann: Totally cool idea. Nice and sharp. It looks like everything's on the same plane, like it's laying on a glass table maybe, but that works pretty well. This might have worked better without the b&w conversion. the mess of colors might have given it more life. |

Pop Culture Toss Upby J-MeComment by Melethia: You've definitely got most stuff covered! Lighting is a bit too low/shot underexposed for my taste. Levels bringing in the slider on the left might make all the difference. |

Disaster: Portrait Of The Emotional Aftermathby J-MeComment by JuliBoc: As someone who has lived with a lot of depression around me, I don't see it as the color red. (I think that effected my vote, which was 5.) I understand what you are saying about the pain, but somehow, red is too warm for depression. I see it much more as a cold tone. My husband has written some very insightful poetry about his depression, and much of it involves darkness and isolation and ice and snow. |

Bad Nights Means Bad Morningsby J-MeComment by JuliBoc: Wonderful composition. I've never seen a better photo of a bad night's sleep. This photo really says it all. He looks like he doesn't even have the energy to pick up his coffee cup. He got everything ready: the coffee, the newspaper, the glasses, but that was as far as he could get -- the little bit of energy from his night's rest was already drained. |

Circle Wannabe?by J-MeComment by J-Me: It's so sad and frustrating. The harder one tries, the worse the score! :( Think I'll just start shooting from the hip so to speak from here on out. To heck with the setups! *evil grin* |

Guess What's Under My Slipby J-MeComment by colorcarnival: I thought this was hilarious - and the title rocks. Love the pearls. This did an excellent job of making me wonder whether or not this truly was a cross-dresser (everything seems to fit! lol), rather than just showing me a picture of a person obviously dressed up just for the challenge. |

Guess What's Under My Slipby J-MeComment by J-Me: I am really disappointed in my score and placement in this challenge! There were some really great shots in this challenge that showed a lot of humor and while I certainly didn't expect to ribbon, I felt that my shot was worth more than what it was given and the placement and only 41%.
To those who scored this a 1 or a 2 or a 3, you are obviously trolls. This was not a DNMC! That's the ONLY way this should have scored that low.
I'm really very disappointed as I felt this was a good entry and I did a lot of work to set it up and even convince my model to do it for me when he was extremely hesitant. Sounds like sour grapes.....YOU BET! Something is wrong with the voting in this challenge! |
