Apart from the title (that suggests that fire is good for a firefighter) I like your interpretation of the theme and I like the way you show the time passing. Thank you for not using the cheap effect of selective desaturation. ;-)
Nutpicking mode on - there are rotation leftovers on the left and bottom which should have been cut.
