Yeah ... I think you are right about the sharpness ... it is easy to get carried away with it. I find that if you slide it up and down and up and down for a while, then you find a place where you like it ... if you drop it by about 10 to 20 percent it is less obvious but still sharpens things up sufficiently.

I also find the highlights a bit blown (too much) on the road and in the sky. I am far from an expert, but I find that the easiest way to help this is to go to levels and just pull back a tad on the output white max ...

While you are there in levels ... play with the neutral arrow on the top line in the middle and see how you can get more detail and tonal range in the bridge stones and trees ...
