Yellow Gas Tankby nicholasdionComment by spencerwood: Image seems pretty flat, a lower viewpoint with wide angle lens would have given this more interest and impact. Interesting subject though - having just voted on three lemons in a row |

Yellow Gas Tankby nicholasdionComment by choltmeier: Cool shot. Great use of limited color palette. Very yellow... is it real or pumped up saturation? Either way it's eye catching. Nice contrast of bright yellow with dirt. |

Yellow Gas Tankby nicholasdionComment by Quasimojo: Lovely shot. I really like 'real world' shots like this...especially yours that shows gritty reality but turns it into a thing of beauty. Great contrast between the canister and the blackened wall and lovely textures. Might benefit from being just a touch sharper. |

Rusty Carby nicholasdionComment by bergiekat: Hope they didn't advertise "like new" (giggle)! Colors and textures are really nice. Great shot. Are you tall? Perhaps try shooting from a little lower angle next time and the perspective will give even more interest. :) (What do I know, lol.)
WELCOME!!!! |

Lawerncetownby nicholasdionComment by nicholasdion: Thanks for the ideas....these ideas never really came to mind until you told me. I usually like to keep it simple with my edits nothing to extreme. I just did raw processing in lightroom. Message edited by author 2008-01-02 20:56:25. |

Lawerncetownby nicholasdionComment by TCGuru: I REALLY like the light you have going on in this one. Since it's not a challenge entry, I think I would take it a tad further... perhaps a smoothing on the water and a flip of the sky for a fake reflection :)
Your cloud depth is great! Leading lines are sweet, they take you right to the city. Overall, a very nice scene and very well composed :) |
