i like that creepy, aged look. i think the telephone/power pole is hurting the image. |

IMG_2891.jpgby mkComment by mk: Haha! They do lay in wait, hanging from my big maple tree, but only for the peanuts (in shell) that I toss them (which is what you see in his mouth). They come daily at 6:30, not a minute before even if I offer - 3 pairs of them. Quick little suckers. Facing the other way is mainly a problem in late summer when they've been busy feasting on mulberries. Ew.
Or maybe it's just a cutout and a shower curtain. ;)

spoonsby mkComment by pottersclay75: Very nice. I love the metallic feel to the spoons. The coloring is very nice. Best I have seen so far. 10 |

spoonsby mkComment by faery: Just terrific: simple, precise and well composed. The detail of the "herbs" in the cup is nice - making this a bit more alive.9 |

He's there lying in wait, ready to drop the bomb on your head and you sneak out the back door and take aim from stage right (or is it left). That's a mean ambush. Or is it just a cardboard cutout and an old Wal-Mart batik shower curtain you're trying to impress us with? Be careful he's not facing the other way in future ;-) |

fishtree.jpgby mkComment by MattO: This is a very unique perspective and most likely something that most photogs would never take a second look at. Although you seem to have a nack for "stopping to smell the roses" artsy kind of thing. I really like the way the lower trees are wrapped in to the photo, and now understanding the lens used, and title its way too deep for my small thinking brain. But I do love the photo and the post processing. |

spoonsby mkComment by SaraR: I like the simplicity of this - there is something strangely calming about the image! The b/w conversion os done well, and has certainly brought out the texture of the metal. |

spoonsby mkComment by alreadythere: i really like the simplicity of the composition and shape. the texture and tonal range also appeals to me a lot too. the one disturbing thing to me is the shadow on the right side -- it doesn't look real because of the halo around the spoons. i figure the halo was added in postprocessing? |
