great emotion. nice lines. I will say that although I like the placement of the left hand, the white line up top draws the eye out of the picture. Great texture and contrast. the model deserves praise as well. acted out beautifully- a true blue contender

I am perplexed about this. Is supposed to be a photo of desperation; from the title, I expect it is. It is a shame... lovely lady so close to the real and metaphorical edge. Very powerful shot.

Definitely a wow for me. A battle of classic and modern -color and not ... beauty and darkness -
Minor quibbles: Something compositionally off just a smidge possibly in rotation - I can't put my brain on it ... Also the pose seems a tad forced and the legs sort of cannot be found ... but overall very striking and engaging. 8, eight!

I like this, and it seems to me to "live up" to the rather dramatic title--took a risk there, but it works, I think. Probably get some push back on whether this is really a portrait or not, but either way, it gets an 8 from me
