I'm not sure I like the coloring of this. I think a better background would be sand, since sandals are something that, to me, convey summer (beach tie in here)... As it is the subject isn't that compelling, just my opinion though

The muted neutral colors work well. Centering the shoes is a confining for the image. Maybe move the right edge in and the top up.
