Amie Shoot 3by JokersSoulComment by George: The foreground grass is very bright and saturated, but the face is not. Maybe up the saturation and lightness in the face, and lower it in the grass? |

The Duckby JokersSoulComment by Cory: Good shot, especially considering the camera...
Might I suggest trying to enter a few shots from that camera into contests?
You'll end up on the camera page for that camera, pretty much guaranteed. :)

Amie Shoot 5by JokersSoulComment by Cory: Fill flash will help in these situations (if you had it on, you should have been just a bit closer I think), and perhaps a slightly lower angle.
So, other than that, this is a fun image, I like the overall feel, and think you'll love that new 50D..
BTW, I just got into polarizing filtration, I think that could have worked nicely on the water in this shot too, they're not too expensive, I would suggest grabbing one.

Green Shoot 1by JokersSoulComment by spiritualspatula: I agree with danculwell. Some supplemental light would really help this. Great poses (including the grumpy kiddo dead center), but generally a bit underexposed for the people. An umbrella above camera right would help things to (obviously not feasible with an EasyShare :) ). |

Peek-a-Booby JokersSoulComment by danculwell: Very cute. Don't know if this was posed or spontaneous. If it was posed I would have gotten a little more light on his face to brighten up those great eyes. |

Green Shoot 1by JokersSoulComment by danculwell: Nice looking family. Nice colors and contrast but pretty dark overall. A reflector or light to brighten their faces (especially under the hats) would make this a great shot. |
