This is a very pretty scene. I've never tried any night shots really, but I don't have anything that grand near me :)
IMHO, I think a tighter crop would work better. I'd consider taking off the bottom just above the bent light and taking off the right just to the left of the street (maybe in the middle of that row of buildings). I think that would put more attention on the larger, prettier buildings. Just a suggestions, though.

Thanks to all who voted - I was at 5.5 for a while, then I started to slip. Still, I scored better than in my first attempt at a challenge.

And thanks for the comments. The bike was not mine - it's being slowly dismantled round the corner from my house - both mudguards have now gone...

I actually rested the camera on the ground to get the shot and as I could not see what I was shooting, it took me a few attempts to get something I liked. I took around 30 pics altogether and I selected the one I thought was most effective. I went the b/w route to give the image more 'mood'.
