Springtime Rendezvousby annigComment by JLC: Wow! I really like this. One of my favorites in this challenge. I love the elegant flower and then add the bee and it is incredible. Surely should have scored a lot higher. |

Springtime Rendezvousby annigComment by skewsme: Was the halo effect in the original? Sometimes this effect can be achieved by a combination of overexposure plus off-focus (both particular to the purple flower only, in this case). To support this, there doesn't seem to be a halo on the parts of the purple plant that are in focus. But, if you didn't see it until after you processed the photo, it possibly could be due to sharpening before you saturated. In any case, I think it's a pretty cool effect! |

Springtime Rendezvousby annigComment by annig: Originally posted by Lowcivicman99: It looks like you were outside and you used your flash. Hi~ I didn't use the flash, and as for the effects around the petal edges, this was a puzzler to me... I assume the things you mention above (marquee, feathered) are PS tools? I have yet to start using the PhotoShop! Looking at what limited processing I did do, can anyone give me a clue as to why the "halo" effect occurred? just curious..I actually like this photgraph a lot, but as I say, was puzzled by this effect...
Thanks a lot for the nice comments!
