Thank you all for the comments. This was my first entry in any of the contests. Good fun to see what others think of your photos. I actually put the house in because it's my place. But it would have been better for this challenge without it.

The amount of DOF you used here is appropropriate but a slight shift backwards may work better to get less of the foreground and more of the bug in focus.

Good contrast with the pruple flowers and green foliage.
