WildpurpleComment by Yo_Spiff: I have a strong suspicion whose entry this is and I know you have requested feedback, so here are a handful of things I noticed:
-The image is pretty flat looking. Not a lot of variations in tonal range. A levels adjustment would take care of a lot of that, giving the image more detail and visual pop.
-What look like creases in the background image are pulling my eye away from the adorable doggo.
-That pink background may have also affected the auto white balance for the main subject, which isn't terrible, but looks a little off. A fix for that going forward could be to shoot in RAW. It requires more work in post processing, but offers a lot of control over both white balance and to pull in detail from clipped highlights and shadows that would be lost in a JPG.
-The crop is a little tight, especially at the bottom. It leads my eye through the image in an odd way. Perhaps having a bit more room at the bottom under the dog's chin would help that.
Sorry to be so harsh, but if this is from whom I think, I know you wanted feedback.
