Spring Thawby gopherphotoComment by Sheryll: The center composition of the cone isn't helping this image and the upper left corner is overexposed. The texture of the dead grass is good so maybe making that the subject by moving in a little closer there but having the cone still in the shot but not centered would have made this a stronger image. |

Spring Thawby gopherphotoComment by Yo_Spiff: Looks like some nice late afternoon light. Perhaps the composition is a little too centered for my own preference. |

Spring Thawby gopherphotoComment by Steef: this picture depicts texture well, but the composition isn't very exciting. maybe a different angle would do nicely? |

Spring Thawby gopherphotoComment by Teafran: The lighting was not the friend of this intriguing image. Shooting into the light produced some odd features and ever so subtle over exposed whites. A possible solution would have been to use a fill flash technique to bring out the various hues, color and linear/curves textures of the background to the pine cone. A good effort just a little shy on the execution. |

Spring Thawby gopherphotoComment by Ja-9: wish your focus was a little tighter on the pine cone...a little less "stuff" all around |
