I like the angle on the old tire trick 5 points just for that! good focus and lighting take a dull surface and gives it depth 2 points more. nothing to distract the eye in the background and a lone stone to give it life 2 more...total 9!

an old tire i'm guessing, I get that it's technically round but i don't see the roundness. the photo isn't really that nice to look at, it's very plain. i think this all could have been fixed by a slight change in a perspective and composition.

It is interesting the way the centre groove leads you into the scene. Mabee a higher angle would have shown more of the grooves, and more charactor. I'm finding the blurred forground a bit distracting as well. I like the concept.

I like the dramatic angle of this, and the shallow depth of field could be more effective, I think, if the glass part was more in focus. The colors are a little drab, too, to me. Maybe convert to a pure bw or sepia and use a lot of contrast?

My guess here is that it is a CD player lens, hence the glass. Unfortunately I cannot tell if that is the case, as it is out of focus. Would also have suggest getting really close and making that the full focus of you shot, as I do not think, anything else here helps improve it.

I'm not sure what this is. The subject seems to be the round (glass?) thing in the middle of the metallic square thing. Everything outside that square seems to be wasted space. I don't see it adding anything. Maybe a close up on the subject would have fared better?
