Very interesting and artistic shot. The lighting is a little too harsh but otherwise very striking to look at.

Well, this one stumped me. I tried really hard to find the connection to the challenge...this is what I came up with. The flower got scared and dropped it's petals because of the BOO! That being said. Nicely done, simple, elegant, well designed. I think a different color background. However, since I had to work so hard finding the connection to the challenge, I dropped a few points on my vote. In a free study or still life, I would have gone with 8-10 depending on the competition.

Great impact and clarity/color and composition. Still trying to see the tie in to the challenge but I may be a bit slow.

Another little nit-pick which I think would improve the image is the fact the shadow from the stem cuts through the petal, if the petal was moved a little to the right it would help balance the image.
