chandelier1.jpgby sweazeaComment by riversong: What a gorgeous chandelier, thankfully they were able to restore it. What a shame it crashed last year, I bet everyone was heartbroken. You have such beautiful lighting and detail on your image. I love Capitol Buildings because of their beauty and my daughter dreams of being a Senator one day. |

chandelier1.jpgby sweazeaComment by MelonMusketeer: Excellent shot for the available lighting. I can't imagine having to rebuild that chandelier. What a nice job they did restoring it. I am sure that they anchored it to the ceiling better this time. That crash must have been very embarrassing. Hope no one was hurt in the crash.
Too bad you couldn't have shot with a ND filter or small aperture, and had someone blink the lights in the fixture one time while the shutter was open to have the lights on without blowing them out in the image.
What "Art" said, and welcome to DPC. Have fun, learn much and enjoy the site. |

chandelier1.jpgby sweazeaComment by Art Roflmao: Love the inscriptions! One, a reference to God, the other I can't make out, but looks something like "Party Hardy and Party Expediently" - could be wrong though. :P
Great shot of the chandelier and the interior. Well done. |

chandelier1.jpgby sweazeaComment by puzzled: Hmmm, I don't think I would like to stand under an 8000 pound chandelier that crashed to the ground and was put back up again ;-/
Great job with a difficult lighting situation. |
