Spokane Falls at 6 Degreesby jhess77Comment by Ken: That looks cold and loud! Not sure if it was dodge/burning or how the light was naturally, but the lighter spot on the left third just glows nicely. Toning adds to the "chill". |

Hue Are You?by jhess77Comment by TCGuru: Composition: I like the placement of the person in the catchlight. Very nice.
Lighting/Exposure: Your light is wonderful and your focus is spot on. The reflection looks almost menacing.
Pose: N/A
Suggestions for Improvements: I think you could lose the top of this down to just above your eyebrow and it would improve the viewing experience.
That is a very nice eye and you brought a bit of interest to it with the reflection. Very nicely done. |

Familiar to Meby jhess77Comment by TCGuru: Composition: I really like this angle. I am not fond of the arm there... assuming you are holding the cam? :)
Lighting/Exposure: Catchlights are nice. The light is harsh on the top of your head though.
Pose: I never really go for a shot where both eyes are on an even line. I like to see just a bit of a head tilt.
Suggestions for Improvements: Room between you and the wall behind you. A shot at f4 or f3.5 would have helped the composition, methinks. Perhaps a bit of diffusion for that light :)
A very nice first portrait for this SC. I am feeling like you are a little angry with the expression :) |

Familiar to Meby jhess77Comment by onesaint: great shot. Head and beard look wonderful. I might come away from the wall a bit so you dont blend is a much. Other thought is the placement of the left arm (yours) is strange. Are you holding the camera? |
