Your image size only takes up less than 2/3 of the allowable file size. I'm not seeing obvious compression artifacts, but that is probably only because of the complexity of the photo. If I look closely I can see evidence of it, however. If you decrease the amount of compression you use when saving your files, it will help the clarity of the images.

I do like really the idea in this shot, however.

shore and driftwood adds context, though just the water isolated without those elements may have contributed to more unusual view.

I like the perspective and the "closeness" of this. I think if the focus in the foreground was as sharp as the background it would be a very effective shot.
