Hey, I was about the same age when I first got my first camera. I wish that there had been something like this web site when I was your age go learn how to take good pictures. You will get lots of ideas and practice here.
I'm glad we had the self-portrait challenge to get to know you. I bet some people might have thought that since the picture was so good, that this was a picture of their own kid instead of themselves. That would actually be a compliment.
Challenge: This is a picture of a very pretty young photographer. Of course, you did a very good job of smiling pretty for your self portrait and meeting the criteria for the challenge.
Composition: You did a great job of setting up for your picture. Using your favorite color for the background was a very good idea. Extra points go for wearing a top that has a bit of the same color as your background, but yet colorful and fun. It helps to bring out the colors in your face. You posed nicely and your smile is beautiful.
Technical: Ximena, your picture is great. The focus is right on and the lighting couldn't be any more perfect. I can not think of anything that could be done differently.
Overall: You are doing a great job at mastering the basics of photography. I'm impressed, to say the least. I can't wait to see more pictures, so keep up the good work. I'll be watching and rooting for you. Good luck!
