An Actor's Solitudeby Spanish_GreaseComment by LucidLotus: Great idea! I like the choice of black and white, really brings out the starkness of the image and I've noticed it helps enhance the feelings of solitude or loneliness. The perspective is great, I don't like the border though, seems too much. I wish the lighting wasn't quite so glaring on the right side of the person, but that's a little concern really. Very nice capture. 8 |

Evening Lightby Spanish_GreaseComment by LucidLotus: Interesting image! I like the color and feel of it. Has a very cool tone. Great lighting and focus is on target. Just wish that you couldn't see whatever that is behind the doors (the lights?). Otherwise it holds together nicely and is a very nice photo. 7 |

An Actor's Solitudeby Spanish_GreaseComment by xhoss: great shot - would have done well in the lighting or shadow comps as well. Like the shadow, and use of negative space. Looks like the subject is looking at the camera - my only suggestion would be to have him look down or out into "emptiness" to help convey "alone" more (read: if he's looking at you - he's not really all that alone with you there - but if he's not looking at you - we the viewer have to give some willing suspension of disbelief that he is alone). Nice work. 9. |

Life's Last Moments - A Dieing Man Laughsby Spanish_GreaseComment by SkiJumpNose: I love your photo, and after I read about what you said about your Grandpa I really felt the emotion in it.
I hate to have to do this, but I must correct your spelling, dying, not dieing....sorry, but I really do love your photo, you captured a precious moment (which is what photography is all about) and you'll always have this photo to look back on and remember him. |
