Very nice detail in this intimate moment. I was attracted to this photo more than any other in the challenge. There must have been a lot of serendipity in capturing this photo - but the eye you have for a good moment was the clincher. I carry around a little bird seed in my camera bag (in a ziploc bag) just in case birds might show up. They can enhance a photo. Wonderful shot...

Wow! Cross-process, flare, visible grain, and you still won a ribbon here on DPC. I hope this is an ongoing trend here.

The pic itself:
The backlighting on pigeons and on the hand's hair convey the feeling of a low rise winter sun, accentuated by the cold colors of the cross process. Overall, this convey a peacefull moody feeling, which is quite an achievment considering that it was probably full of pigeons freneticly flying everywhere.
