SSOC4124-Edit.jpgby ikopanasComment by DJWoodward: Nice job with the edit. You improved the richness of the shot significantly.I think it could benefit from a little leveling of the horizon. I don't mean this as just a technical nitpick. I think the leveling would also help the angle of the dock. I feel that the leading line of the dock now is a bit off-balance. |

SSOC4124-Edit.jpgby ikopanasComment by bassbone: what wonderful elements you found - that cool dock, the awesome boat and that dramatic bridge. I wonder about the crop and composition a bit. Having both sides of the dock in the photo actually cuts the image in two a bit for me. Getting on the dock a bit more, lining up the shot so that the dock is in the lower right at a slope would provide you with an opportunity to frame the boat a bit more, and at the same time get the bridge more centered so it can act as a natural border for the photo.
Around the processing - the image seems just a bit noisy, and coudl probably benefit from a boost in levels. |

August Discountsby ikopanasComment by tanguera: Don't know that this is a good shot for a calendar, but there is something very eerie and interesting about it. I love the color, but am undecided as to whether the writing is distracting or enhancing. |

SSOC4124-Edit.jpgby ikopanasComment by digifotojo: Nice lines in this image. I would like to see less of the pier and the upside down rowboat which detracts from the rest of the image. It creates kind of an eyesore in an otherwise beautifully serene image. |

SSOC4124-Edit.jpgby ikopanasComment by gys: Nice photo of a very nice scene. I like how the roughness of the pier contrasts with the glassiness of the water. Two things: you've aligned the boat with one of the bridge pylons so that it looks as though its part of the boat. A slight shift in your position could have prevented this illusion and isolated the boat from the background. The other thing is that your horizon seems to be tilted down to the right. |
