Thanks. I thought the glasses were obvious enough for macro/close-up. Oh well. Maybe it is time to get the eyes checked and new glasses. |

Water, tea, and phonesby jnenvirComment by myqyl: Composition left me feeling crowded. The top of one head, the left arm of the woman on the right, the bottom of the glasses were all cut off. the space on the left edge seemed almost wasted and what I thought were your subjects were cramed into the space they had. Felt kind of unbalanced.
That make sense? |

Water, tea, and phonesby jnenvirComment by EL-ROI: In my investigation of street macro, I found two ways to shoot the genre. One was an extreme close up of a street related object. Another was to place a subject close up in the frame and fill the background with that typical street view. I think you have attempted the second method here. You used the tea and water glasses as your close up but the focus is really on the ladies in the background. You did great with the gritty and edgy processing here though and captured a fine street scene. |

Water, tea, and phonesby jnenvirComment by Yo_Spiff: Not really seeing much macro or even a close up in this scene. I would certainly call it street photography, however. Perhaps the drinking glasses are intended to be the macro subject? If that's the case, then the focus is on the wrong part of the scene and it's too far away. Sorry, but I have to low vote this one, because I just can't see how it fits. |
